say hello to heaven...

October is here. You know what that means - a month-long adventure of Haunted Houses, pumpkin carving, and pet costume contests. And it is an election year, so that means we will be seeing nothing but awful political advertisements on tv, and hearing ridiculous claims and opinions on candidates from everyday people that have no real solution and do not intend on helping the cause...other than provide additional noise.

So, I will just focus on what this month should really be about - Halloween. It has always been tradition to make this month a little more special than the other months. For that reason, i am in overdrive to accomplish a mission that should not be as difficult as some people are making it.

We are currently in the process of talking with Children's Hospital to organize a visit from Palzy, our 7ft mascot, to disburse coloring books with an inspirational meaning and donated stuffed animals. Over a two week span, it took 7 phone calls to the event coordinator of Children's Hospital without an answer or a call back that pushed me to another state of mind.

Its going to be a battle, but we are used to that by now.   Some people don't know what its like to do something because they want to....and not for a paycheck.  Maybe its time to show them...

Cause at the end of the day...or at the end of this life....Not only is it the right thing to do....its October.....the month of surprises....
