your own stock market...

When I was accepted to Duquesne University in 2003, I knew I wanted to do something with business.  My mentor guided me towards finance.  It wasn't long before I started to believe I wanted to wear a suit to work everyday to a big fancy office on wall street as a stockbroker.  By my senior year, I knew this was not for me.

In the 80's movie classic "Wall Street", the main character sums it up best by saying
"Money itself isn't lost or made, it's simply transferred from one perception to another.  I create nothing. I own."

Anyway I could slice it, this area was not for me.  I wanted to create.

Although I changed paths, I did learn some stuff that would stick with me - The power of investing, the value of time, and the importance of calculating everything down to a single number.  In the end, everything can be broken down into numbers.

  • You must be able to look at a number and to know instantly if that company is succeeding or failing.
  • You can only make good decisions if the numbers are clear and accurate.
  • Anything worth investing your time and money into is something you cannot afford to go into blind.

People invest their time, money, energy, thought, and resources into their businesses.  We wanted to provide businesses their own "stock market" for their business and to have answers quickly.  I see it everyday - people pick up the news paper, read the stock quotes in 2 seconds, and know if they made money or lost money.  Its time to give people the ability to do this for their own business.

The three bullet points above are some of the guidelines we used in our tools we can provide the businesses.  And we can provide a few steps further to show the numbers that can truly help them see if they are succeeding or failing.

Here is just a small sample from our LIVE reports.  Businesses can view this at any moment of any day and the numbers will adjust accordingly - Just like the stock market.

Imagine being at home and picking up your IPAD to look at the up to date numbers of what is happening at your business.  All numbers in regards to Men, Women, Top Zip Codes, Top Employee, What is bringing people in, number of repeat customers, number of repeat customers, Customer Service score, Best Day and Time, what is not working, etc...

To know where you are going, you must first know where you have been... and to never go again.
