I take him for walks...he does commercials for free...
I get a ton of questions asking about the GoNextWorld Mascot. Why do we put him on our Facebook page, Twitter postings, and all of our advertising tools? Well, besides the fact that he is just too damn cute not to share with the world, the results are overwhelming in favor that it does in fact work.
Early on, we read that commercials with animals hold a 20% higher retention than commercials with celebrities. There are crazy statistics out there, but I am one of those people that have to try it before I truly believe in it. So, we did, and our findings were incredible. Any youtube video, fb, or twitter posting that includes a picture of this 3 year old beagle (with or without a blanket) has 3 times has many hits compared to one without him. Also, we disbursed scripts to businesses on how to explain our program to customers and yes, there was a picture of him included. We found out that some businesses were actually posting it up on the wall so every patron could see it - all due to the dog.
In advertising for our business, one of the big questions we ask ourselves before we deliver an ad is "how does it make you feel when you see it for the first time?"
Well, when it comes down to it, people cant help but smile when they see a dog sleeping with a stuffed animal (purchased from a flea market)
Social Media and Videos do not directly help the company grow financially, but it does give us a chance to educate the public on a little about who we are if we can capture their attention for even a second...
And the GoNextWorld team loves animals. That is why we wanted to get involved with Animal Friends so much. So, if you support our participating local businesses, you can actually accrue and use your Next World Bucks towards a great cause.
Until next time animal lovers, make sure you check out the upcoming Palzy posts. Our next commercial is due out in August (aka Phase Two). The commercial will feature The Pittsburgh Irish Festival, Black and Gold Beer, Animal Friends and of course, you know who...
